Riffle Sampler

MPE’s Riffle-Type Sample Splitter, equipped with a removable hopper, is designed for accurate division of dry materials such as cement, gravel, powdered ores, coal, coke, sand, and soils. Material poured into the hopper is split into two equal portions by a series of chutes that discharge alternately into separate pans. With each successive dividing and cascading step, the sample is reduced to the desired quantity.

The Riffle Sampler is ideal for field use, offering superior accuracy compared to other manual splitting methods. Constructed from MS or SS, the design can be tailored to suit the material and application. All parts are easily accessible, making cleaning and maintenance simple. The unit includes three containers and one shovel, and for best results, the slot widths should be approximately three times the largest particle size. Additional riffles can also be stacked to increase capacity.
