Pelletizing is the process of agglomerating finely divided materials such as dust, powder, or fume into pellets, balls, or granules. Water is added during the process, and if required, solid or liquid binders can be included to increase pellet hardness or optimize processing.
MPE’s Disc Pelletisers feature a heavy welded base and structural support frame for the pan drive and scrapers. The pan is powered by a motor through a reducer gear, with disc sizes up to 3 ft diameter mounted directly on the reducer output shaft. Larger pelletisers use a motor, reducer, pinion, and ring gear drive system for efficient operation.
The pan angle is adjustable from 0 to 60 degrees, accommodating a variety of pelletizing conditions. A water spray system with flow meter is provided to ensure precise moisture control during operation.
Customs built designs are also available.
