Concentrating Tables
Our Products
Precise Gravity Separation
MPE’s Concentrating Tables are designed for efficient separation of heavy and light materials in mineral and metal processing plants or laboratories, provided the specific gravity difference is at least 0.2.
The table features a tiltable deck with multiple riffles. Feed material, combined with water, is introduced onto the deck. The shaking mechanism moves the material along the riffles while water carries lighter particles across. This process creates a stratification effect, where heavier particles sink and are carried forward, while lighter particles are washed away. This separation is effective for sand sizes 10 to 60 mesh and slime sizes 60 to 325 mesh. It is also used for separating coal (3/8 inch to 28 mesh) from shale and other refuse materials.
MPE’s Concentrating Tables are built with a robust head-motion shaking mechanism running in an oil bath, requiring minimal maintenance. The amplitude is adjustable from 1/8” to 3/4”, and smaller machines include a variable speed arrangement. All machines feature adjustable backlash for precise operation.
The deck is made of seasoned wood with a waterproof coating, covered with special rubber and fitted with seasoned wooden riffles. Standard riffle designs suit general purposes, and custom riffles can be manufactured for specific applications. The tilt angle is also fully adjustable to optimize separation efficiency.
Customs built designs are also available.
