Precision Ball Mills for Efficient Mineral Grinding
MPE’s Ball Mill consists of cylindrical shell rotating on a horizontal axis mounted on a sturdy mild steel frame. The ball mill shell is designed to withstand the rotational load of the mill charged with the grinding media and the material to be processed. Openings are provided through which the grinding media and the material to be processed are loaded and discharged along with a ball retaining grate. The Mill is driven by motor coupled to the reduction gear box with chain and sprocket arrangement. Ball mill is widely used to process cement, silicate product, new building materials, fireproof materials, fertilizer, ferrous and non-ferrous metal ore beneficiation, ceramics, etc.
Batch type Ball Mill is constructed of MS/SS with and without liners. This can be used for wet or dry grinding. A control panel is provided with a start /stop with an inching button to position the mill for discharge and loading. An electronic preset counter is also provided. MPE also manufactures Ball Mill for Bond’s Grindablity Index.
Some of the standard sizes are : 12 X 12, 18 x 18, 18 x 30, 24 x 24 , 36 x 36 , 48 x 48 inches
Custom built designs are also available.
MPE also manufactures Continuous type Ball Mill /Rod Mill.
Mainly used for continuous wet grinding of large sample quantities of any hardness. The mill is driven through a worm gear box or spur gear on the body. A Trommel or trash screen at the discharge can be provided as an optional extra. These mills can also be used in cir-cuit with classifying facilities. Inlet and outlet discharge through neck bearing trun-nions. Trunions consist of forward and reverse spirals.
Mill housing with shell and head-ends can be provided with Manganese steel liners. The 24 x 24 mill is driven by a 5hp motor and the entire unit is mounted on its own channel frame work ready for foundation.
